Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport (KUA)

Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport (IATA: KUA, ICAO: WMKD), also known as Kuantan Airport is an airport that is located in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located just 15 km from Kuantan. The airport also serves as the Royal Malaysian Air Force base. In 2008, Tourism Malaysia and Taiwan inked a deal of 23 chartered direct flights between Taipei to Kuantan Airport, resulting in Kuantan Airport being the first airport in East Coast Peninsular Malaysia to operate international flights.

Kuantan Airport is also used as a military airport with a military base that houses No. 6 Squadron (BAE Hawk) and also No. 19 Squadron (MiG-29).
