Malaysia has several airlines in its history. The most notable one is Malaysia Airlines with its rich history while in recent decades we have seen a rapid expansion by one low-cost airline, AirAsia. Both of them managed to capture significant market share for flights within Malaysia and ASEAN region.

MASwings – MASwings is a regional airline operating in East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak). When it was formed, it took over Rural Air Services (RAS) formerly operated by FlyAsianXpress.
Malindo Air – Malindo Air is a Malaysia-based airline. The airline has designated themselves as “premium airline”. It started its operations on 22 March 2013.

Cathay Pacific – Cathay Pacific was founded on 24 September 1946 and its hub is Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
