Malaysia Airlines MH 17 is a scheduled flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) on Boeing 777-200 aircraft. On July 17th 2014, the plane (9M-MRD) crashed near Torez in Donetsk Oblast, a troubled region in Ukraine. It is currently the deadliest airliner shootdown in history.

United States together with Ukrainian government blamed pro-Russian separatist currently in control of Donetsk region to be responsible.
